Muddy Puddles (Chocolate Mousse)
Pepper Pig is very popular at our house at the moment and Chloe was very excited to help me make these muddy puddles!
What you need to make the mousse:
300g dark cooking chocolate
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/4 cup caster sugar
300ml of thickened cream
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and set aside to cool a little.
In a bowl beat the eggs caster sugar for 5 min, until the mixture is pale in colour and has thickened.
Fold the melted chocolate and cocoa powder into the mixture.
In a separate bowl whip the cream until it thickens.
Add the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture and mix together.
Spoon the mousse into cups and place them into the fridge for about an hour to set.
Print out the Muddy Puddles template from here!
Cut them out or get the kids to cut out the templates.
Place a strip of double sided tape close to the edge of the paper cup cover, around the paper to stick to the other side.
Sprinkle the grated chocolate on top of the mousse.
Place the mousse cups into the paper covers.
Now they are ready to eat!
